SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA POLICE DEPARTMENT BECOMES 500th LEADSONLINE CLIENT

Online law enforcement database hits new milestone

DALLAS, April 19, 2006 – LeadsOnline, the nation’s largest investigative system used by law enforcement to solve crimes involving property, recently achieved a new milestone. The company signed the San Francisco Police Department as its 500th law enforcement agency client. Additionally, the LeadsOnline database is nearing 100 million records, and continues to grow at more than 130,000 new records each business day.

LeadsOnline provides law enforcement investigators a powerful, data rich and user-friendly system that allows them to rapidly comb millions of transaction receipts from pawn, secondhand and Internet (eBay) drop-off stores across the country, looking for suspects and stolen property. Investigators use the LeadsOnline service to obtain critical leads and solve crimes ranging from burglary to homicide, arson, identity theft and narcotics crimes.

Transaction information from more than 2,500 pawn, secondhand, and Internet drop-off stores across the country is uploaded to LeadsOnline daily to a secure database.

“The San Francisco Police Department is serious about serving our city and solving crimes, and we’re excited about providing our investigators with such a powerful resource. LeadsOnline will help us solve cases more quickly, and more effectively interact with other agencies and the California DOJ,” said Lieutenant Tom Buckley of the San Francisco Police Department.

LeadsOnline currently serves law enforcement agencies in 23 states – from Oregon to North Carolina, Ohio to Arkansas, and is the largest online investigative system of its kind.
