The LeadsOnline Leadership Conference is one of the nation's best law enforcement conferences. Police investigators from across the country come together for 16 hours of continuing education and prime networking opportunities. Some of the topics covered include in-depth homicide case studies, identity theft, planning and executing undercover sting operations, mobile device forensics, and metal theft investigations.

In Depth LeadsOnline Training

Beginning at 8:30 am in the Ballroom, we'll have a full in-depth training of LeadsOnline that will run until 10:30 am. It's a casual training environment where you can ask questions and learn how to maximize LeadsOnline for your investigations. If you have any questions after the training is over, our team of experts can answer questions from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the check-in table.

Welcome to Nashville

In 2017 Nashville set another record for annual visitors by bringing in more than 14.5 million people and reaching a new high mark for number of hotel rooms sold. This was a 4.6 percent increase over 2016. With stats like these, MNPD is tasked with ensuring not only citizens are safe but visitors are as well. During this time, we will hear some of the challenges MNPD faces and the actions they take to provide a safe community and travel destination.

One October
Captain Harry Fagel, Las Vegas Metro, NV PD

The One October presentation is a comprehensive overview of the events leading up to and occurring on October 1st, 2017 in Las Vegas. We will explore the numerous lessons learned from this complicated and enormous tragedy. Captain Fagel will touch upon preparedness, mass casualty tactics, MACTAC response from both fire and police as well as a variety of topics related to infrastructure and public safety overall. Most importantly we will honor the 58 lives lost, over 900 injured and our responsibility as a community to provide healing and wellness for our city and employees.

Hear firsthand how ecoATM helps law enforcement by locating suspects and returning stolen property. Case studies will be presented highlighting ecoATM's willingness to help law enforcement from the early stages of the case to prosecution.

Arlington, Texas home of the Dallas Cowboys is used to its fair share of criminal activity. This case study will show you how an innocent plan to meet and sell a phone through an OfferUp ad turned into a robbery investigation. You'll learn what resources are available during an investigation to assist in solving your cases.

This training will introduce you to OfferUp. Here you will learn how the platform works and how OfferUp works with Law Enforcement on criminal cases and investigations. This session will walk through beneficial tools to aid Law Enforcement and the steps OfferUp takes to detect and deter criminal activity.

LeadsOnline Real Time Crime

In many agencies, viable cases cannot be worked due to limited personnel and timing of available data. This session will provide leaders with a look at the new game-changing, force-multiplying tools from LeadsOnline that will automatically generate hits on cases from the moment they are reported and solve cold cases long after the file is put away. Becoming an Even More Effective Leader (Part 1)
Steve Neal, Ret. Captain Chesterfield County, VA SO

Safety is a hallmark of the law enforcement business. Yet, a substantial number of public safety employees consistently identify a toxic work environment as their greatest source of stress and threat. Steve's presentation will focus on respectful, dignified and principal-centered leadership tactics that help mitigate the threats associated with an unhealthy workplace. This session will also emphasize how the sophisticated leadership skills of civility, tact and gracefulness correlate with employee pride, self-respect, purpose in our work and enhancement of our product.

Unraveling an Organized Crime Ring

What started as a few retail items being located at a secondhand store turned into a nationwide issue resulting in billions of dollars lost. During this time, we will walk through the steps taken to uncover the players involved and the process of working with the retailers affected.

Organized Retail Crime

ORC costs the retail industry approximately $30 billion each year according to the National Retail Federation, and the problem is becoming more prevalent. Hear what steps big box retailers take to deter ORC in their stores and the tools and tactics THD ORC Investigators have at their disposal to assist Law Enforcement.

This session will build on the morning session and help you develop your personal framework and habits for effective leadership, whether you are responsible for hundreds of direct reports, or none.

LeadsOnline Puts an End to a Crime Spree in Texas
Detective John Mahoney, New Braunfels TX PD

On November 21st, a man from Las Vegas travelled to Texas and began a crime spree that left one person dead. Investigators were left scrambling to figure out the identity of the suspect who fled in a stolen vehicle. This case study will show how New Braunfels PD used LeadsOnline to solve a murder and bring this crime spree to an end.
