A Flint man was being held in the Henderson County Jail on $15,750 bond after being charged by Chandler police with theft and burglary of a building.

Billy Ray Dunn, 18, of Flint was arrested on Dec. 20 at a Smith County house after officials recovered several items reported stolen from two homes on Noonday Road in Chandler.

"A fair amount of tools, TVs, stereo equipment, and other items were taken from a residence being remodeled on Noonday," Chief Ron Reeves said. "A different burglary was also reported on Noonday, where a storage building was broken into. We received a break in the case when somebody gave us information on a suspect.", a tracking system used by participating businesses and law-enforcement agencies, helped lead police to Dunn. A Tyler pawn shop, Reeves said, reported several items to the Web site allegedly pawned by Dunn.

"We issued a warrant for Dunn for theft, and he was arrested with assistance from Smith County offi- cers," Reeves said. "We received permission to search the house and recovered a large amount of stolen items from the attic. At that time, another warrant was issued for burglary."

Other property has also been recovered, including that which has not been reported stolen, Reeves said.

"We have property that has not been identified, and we need to find out who else in that area has been burglarized. People need to call us."

Reeves said the estimated value of the recovered stolen property is $1,500.
